Fantasy Theater is the Theater for Young Audiences arm of the Chatham Community Players. It is dedicated to presenting joyful family theater experiences that appeal to both the young and the young at heart.

“Oh, the thinks you can think” when the world of Dr. Seuss comes to life in this charming musical adventure. The Cat in the Hat is your host as your favorite Dr. Seuss characters are thrown together for a journey based on many of his best-loved classics.
This fast-paced 70-minute version of Seussical™ has been specially adapted for young audiences but is sure to be enjoyed by Dr. Seuss fans of all ages.
The cast includes: Michael Gioia of Carteret as The Cat in the Hat, Andrew Michelson of Lafayette as Horton the Elephant, Allison Acquafredda of Lodi as Gertrude, Shanna Levine-Phelps of Livingston as Mayzie, Jessica McClarty of Edison as Sour Kangaroo, Rickie Beth Friedberg of Caldwell as Mrs. Mayor and a Bird Girl, Lindsay Maron of Short Hills as a Bird Girl, Alison Wien of East Hanover as a Bird Girl, Philippe L. Levesque of Morris Plains as Mr. Mayor and a Wickersham Brother, Chris Gordon of Succasunna as a Wickersham Brother, and Sam Ogilvie of Piscataway as a Wickersham Brother. Additionally, Bailey Grey of Livingston and Olivia Haleblian of Boonton Township will be sharing the role of JoJo. David Simon directs.
