The Chatham Community Players will kick off their 85th season with Arthur Miller’s A View from the Bridge. Miller writes a riveting play about fate, lust, and betrayal. Set in a Sicilian neighborhood in Brooklyn, the story tells of longshoreman Eddie Carbone’s struggle with unrepressed psychological needs that lead him to betray his own family. This is an intensely absorbing play, considered one of Miller’s best. A modern classic you won’t forget!
Rob Pherson of Somerset is making his directorial debut at Chatham, Rob directed The Taming of the Shrew last year for Circle Players in Piscataway.
His other productions include What the Butler Saw, The Mousetrap, Art,
Afterplay, Uncle Vanya, Twelfth Night, and A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum. Pete DiMarco of Hillsborough is Eddie, Julianne DiPietro-Renshaw of Maplewood is Beatrice, Dana Vigliotti of Roselle Park is Catherine, Neil Fasolino of Staten Island is Marco, Al Sperduto of Basking Ridge is Alfieri, and Billy McArthur of Maplewood is Rodolpho.
